My name is Pavel Kim and I’m a photographer.

I use classic analog materials and processes: black and white film and silver gelatin paper. I have my own darkroom with two enlargers and infinite amount of trays, tanks, chemicals, paper, film, alcohol and funny jokes.

My idea is simple: I want to stay in real world while making my photographs. I capture people on film using light and film with no digital stuff, I develop film in chemicals with no Lightroom presets and then I print photographs on paper with enlarger and my hands for dodge and burn. The image never goes to a virtual environment and never being processed by mathematical or programming algorithms. Everything is real all the time.
